The Senior School library is equipped with an extensive range of books, resources and facilities that enhance the student learning experience.
Our Liquid Galaxy platform is the latest addition to this part of campus, with 7 HD screens that invite you into an interactive world made up of more than 14 million pixels. This immersive teaching tool flies students around the world using Google Earth and allows them to explore Mars and the Moon via Cesium.
The College’s Learning Support team uses the library to provide a diverse range of services that empower students with additional needs to reach their potential. This includes in-class support and intervention classes, individual and group withdrawals, cross-age tutoring, counselling and exam disability provisions.
At Waverley, support starts when students commence in Year 5 and continues until they graduate in Year 12. We allocate one Learning Support teacher to each year group, in addition to teacher aides, and develop a specialised learning plan for every student with a disability or learning difficulty.
But it isn’t just about your time at Waverley. In Stages 5 and 6, we also prepare students for life after Waverley with our Work Education elective and Study Skills Program.
