Allwell testing is conducted for students commencing in Year 7 in 2017 to allow the school to assess learning needs and to monitor student progress.
All students commencing in Year 7 in 2017 must sit the Allwell Test.
How will Waverley use this information?
Test results are combined with NAPLAN data to allow the college to assess any immediate learning needs and to monitor student progress in the future. The college also uses the data in a variety of ways to improve the delivery of curriculum within the school and to assist with subject selection pathways in Year 9 and Year 11.
After the testing day you will be provided with a written report, summarising your son’s results. Please allow a few weeks after the test date to receive these.
How does my son prepare for these tests?
There is no course material to study prior to the day. It is a measurement, identical to NAPLAN, to give the school a picture of the student’s current academic standard. It is important on the day for your son to try his best, read the instructions carefully and use every minute to maximum effect.
What happens if my son cannot attend on that day?
Parents are urged to make arrangements for their son to attend on the scheduled day so that the school has adequate time to plan for his needs. Those who are unable to attend will take the test in Term 1, 2017.
On the Testing morning
Parents will be emailed with detailed directions about drop off and collection times for the test.
