This Thursday, 12 September, Waverley College will be holding a morning tea for RUOK? Day.
Cakes are donated by the Waverley community and sold to the boys at recess and lunch.
This day holds a special place in our hearts as the founder of RUOK?, Gavin Larkin, is the father of past student, Gus, and current Year 8 student, Van. Many of you know that sadly Gavin and Gus have passed away. On Thursday, the morning tea will be held to honour both their lives and the legacy of RUOK? Day.
We would like to acknowledge the Gadigal people of the Eora nation who are the traditional Custodians of the land on which Waverley College is located. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We are committed to honouring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ unique cultural and spiritual connections to the land, waters, seas and sky and their rich contribution to society.
