Swim School
Waverley College Aquatic Centre is available to the whole community
Our Aquatic Centre is a facility that is available for the whole community to enjoy. We run comprehensive swim school programs for all age ranges, from preschool-aged children upwards, through to adults. The swim school operates throughout the summer months, commencing at the start of Term 4 and concluding at the end of Term 1.

Important COVID-19 information
Please note that parents and carers are not allowed on school grounds during COVID-19 restrictions during the school term.
All swimmers must meet at the Performing Arts Centre gates on Birrell Street 5 minutes before the start of each session to check-in and be escorted to the pool.
Please do not enrol in the swim school if your swimmer will have difficulties coping with these changes.

Changes for Term 1
Due to COVID-19, we have had to make the following changes to our swim school program.
- There will be No Learn to Swim in Term 1.
- Junior Squad will be 45 minute sessions and students must be booked in on nominated days.
- There is a swim and go policy and the change rooms are not available unless you are a current Waverley College student.
Term 1 Program 2021
Monday February 1 – Thursday 1 April 2021
Tadpoles
Session times: Monday – Friday 3.30 pm, 4.00 pm, 4:30 pm
Cost: $200 for 1 day a week, $300 for 2 days a week
Mini Squad – SOLD OUT!
Session times: Monday – Friday 3:30 pm – 4:15 pm, 4:15 pm – 5:00 pm
Cost: $300 for 2 day a week, $350 for 3 days a week
Junior Squad – SOLD OUT!
Session times: Monday – Friday 3:30 pm – 4:15 pm, 4:15 pm – 5:00 pm
Cost: $300 for 2 day a week, $350 for 3 days a week
Swimming programs
Tadpoles
Lesson time: 30 minutes
Tadpoles is for children developing proficiency with their strokes. Students must be able to swim 25 metres freestyle and backstroke as they prepare for Mini Squad. Class maximum of 12 students.
MiniSquad
Lesson time: 45 minutes
Mini Squad is for swimmers displaying proficiency in freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke. Swimmers should have sufficient technique, be able to demonstrate basic drills and have the endurance to swim for 45 minutes. They will also start to learn butterfly. Class maximum of 16 students.
Junior Squad
Lesson time: 45 minutes
Junior Squad swimmers display proficiency in all strokes and wish to improve their endurance and can swim for at least 45 minutes. Class maximum of 16 students.
Adult swim programs
Waverley College Aquatic Centre provides a number of Adult Swimming Programs.
Nez Swim Squad
Take your swimming to the next level with our adult swim squad. The sessions are designed for competent swimmers including triathletes, ocean swimmers, surf swimmers, still water masters competitors, open water swimmers or those looking for general fitness. If you can swim around three kilometers in an hour, this is the squad for you.

Monday – 5:15 – 6:15 pm
Tuesday – 5:15 – 6:15 pm ; 6:15 – 7:15 pm
Wednesday – 5:15 – 6:15 pm
Thursday – 5:15 – 6:15 pm ; 6:15 – 7:15 pm
Friday – 5:15 – 6:15 pm
