2016-2017 Swimming Season Wrap Up

2017 CAS Swimming Championships

The swimming season has once again come to an end with the CAS Swimming Championships last Thursday 16 March. The Waverley swim team trained hard throughout Term 4 and Term 1, and all their efforts paid off on the night. With Year 8, 10 and 11 cheering them on, the team swam some amazing times and ultimately finished in 4th place.

The following boys were recognised at presentation night for their efforts throughout the swimming season:

U13 Age Champion: Liam Davis

U13 Runner Up: Luke McLellan

U13 Most Improved: Emilio Vinci

 

U14 Age Champion: Benjamin Shires

U14 Runner Up: Ethan King

U14 Most Improved: Baxter Flynn

 

U15 Age Champion: Peter Cassimatis

U15 Runner Up: Nikita Strbac

U15 Most Improved: Andrew Badger

U15 Most Improved: Henry Standfield

U17 Age Champion: Liam Jackson

U17 Runner Up: Louie Cosgrove

Opens Age Champion: Erwan Le Pechoux

Opens Runner Up: Benjamin Walker

Opens Most Improved: Alfie Killigrew

Fred Etter Award for Swimmers 2017: Coen Finati

 

The entire swimming squad had a fantastic season, and finished it off with an outstanding performance at CAS. Congratulations to all the boys, and thank you to the staff and parents who helped to make it such a great season.
