2017 ICAS English Competition

On the 8 August 2017, 55 students from Years 7-11 participated in the annual ICAS English Competition. The aim of the competition run by UNSW is to assess the reading and language skills of students in a range of contexts, nationally. The questions required students to locate, identify, sequence, explain, interpret, analyse and infer information in and about texts. This year, Waverley students performed particularly well achieving 1 High Distinction, 5 Distinctions, 8 Credits and 12 Merits.

All students who participated in competition this year are to be congratulated on their overall efforts.
