2017 Walgett Immersion

Walgett Immersion

From the Head of Quinn House, Olivia Kite

Year 10 students are invited to apply for the Waverley College Walgett Immersion.

This is an incredibly valuable experience for students to broaden their awareness, understanding and appreciation of the issues facing Aboriginal students in remote areas of Australia.

The boys will visit St Joseph’s Primary school and spend time with Indigenous students during school hours, play sport, visit places of significance and hear from community Elders about issues facing the community.

The immersion takes place in Week 3, Term 4 from Monday 23 October to Friday 27 October.

The cost of the immersion is approximately $700 per student.

There are only seven spots remaining on the immersion. If your son would like to attend, please have them complete the attached application form and return it to either myself or Ms Hill by Tuesday 5 September.
