A rising cricketing star, Mac Jenkins

From the Sportsmaster, Greg Elliott

Year 10 student, Mac Jenkins, has had considerable success on the cricket field.

Mac recently captained NSW Green to victory against NSW Magenta in the National U15 Cricket Championships held in Brisbane. He top scored with 32 for the Greens 143.  Mac also took 1/9 from 6 overs.

In addition to this, Mac was also named in the Australian U16 team to play Pakistan later this year. That team will then get an opportunity to compete in the Australian U17 Championships in September.

This is a fantastic achievement for Mac and something of which he should be immensely proud. It is also a good reflection of the hard work that Mr John Boyd and Mr John McCallum put into Waverley Cricket.

He is another example of a Waverley student who is at the top of his craft, whether it be in sport, music, debating or drama.
