May Procession Volunteers & Donations Needed
The Waverley College Parents Association will be serving afternoon tea following the May Procession at the Senior School on Sunday 7 May 2017 and warmly invite you and your family to attend.
Each year we ask parents and carers to volunteer a couple of hours either helping prepare and serve the afternoon tea or by donating baked goods such as cakes, muffins, biscuits or slices.
If you can help at the afternoon tea or donate baked goods please email the Waverley College Parents Association at passociation@waverley.nsw.edu.au detailing your availability and/or type of donation. For further information please call Linda McGuiggan on 0411 316 954
Baked goods can be dropped at the Senior School canteen from 12:30pm and it would be appreciated if cakes and slices are pre cut to save time on the day. Those of you who can help out on the day, set up will begin around midday also in the Senior canteen.
You help is always appreciated and goes a long way in promoting an event where the whole school community has a chance to connect.

The Annual Blue & Gold Ball – SAVE THE DATE
Friday 18 August – BR JP Lacey Gymnasium
The Annual Blue & Gold Ball returns to the Colllege this August after a 40 year hiatus (after 1977 it became a dinner dance). The Blue & Gold Ball began in 1911 and was the major event of the College’s social calendar where parents, student and staff came together to raise funds for the College Building Fund. Each year a Committee was formed and undertook the organisation of the ball.
We are putting the call out to parents and old boys to assist in the following areas:
- the donation of prizes for the raffle, live, silent and online auctions – these could range from vouchers for restaurants and retailers to holiday and corporate event packages, jewellery, furniture, experiences
- sourcing of catering/beverages for our event – if you have or know of any connections to suppliers/caterers we’d love to hear from you
- sourcing of sponsorship of the event (we have sponsorship packages available for businesses who may want promotion at this event)
Feel free to have a chat with any of our committee members or myself if you feel you can help in any way – big or small.
