Waverley College Blue & Gold Ball Update
Thank you to all parents who have bought their tickets in the last two weeks. We’ve sold over half the tables which is an amazing effort! So if you’re still deciding or trying to put together a table, quickly head to www.blueandgold.com.au and lock it in! If you’re buying single tickets but you’re on a table – make sure you let us know whose table you’re on.
We’re so pleased to have Glamcorner and Something Nice on board as donors – head to Glamcorner’s site or visit Something Nice in Kogarah to organise your gown. Glamcorner is offering Blue & Gold discounts of 10% for the Waverley community – use the code GCWAVE10 at checkout. We have so many great prizes for auction on the night, we’re sure there is something for everyone.
Many of you have been asking whether you need to wear blue or gold, the short answer is – wear whatever colour you like!
The night will be spectacular, featuring The Leon Fallon Experience which is a great party band including a three-piece horn section lead by a female singer. This will be the night for lots of dancing and singing. We also have Hiaground, an upbeat band of Waverley Old Boys who will welcome you to the ball.
Bold Catering will entice you with with delicious canapes, shared plates for mains and a selection of mouthwatering desserts. We also have an amazing four tier celebration cake by “SWEET SUGAR PEARLS”, donated by Patisserie Chef & Designer Stefanie Bardas.
Quality wines, beer and a champagne bar from United Cellars & Lion will wet our whistle thanks to Justine Whitehouse and Gordon Treanor (Year 5 parents).
We are still looking for Sponsorship – Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze so please contact us if you want to highlight your business at the Ball.
We are seeking lot items for Live and Online auctions – ranging from vouchers for dinners/beauty treatments, coffee vouchers, blowdrys, massages and holiday experiences.
Nothing is too small, we need everything but most of all we need your support. This is the major fundraiser for the year. Please let me now if you can help with donations and THANKYOU to those parents who have generously given.
For those parents who feel they cannot donate Lisa Sullivan Smith will organise a Bottle Collection in Term 3 – if anybody has a nice bottle of red or white/champagne, she will collect and this can contribute to the Lucky Door Prizes/Hampers.
