Educating the Future Fundraising Dinner 9 December 2016

Educating The Future (ETF) is a not-for-profit organisation co-founded in June 2016 by Waverley College ex-students Adam Hegedus & Alessandro Piovano, with the aim of “empowering youth within disadvantaged communities through the beauty of education to ultimately improve quality of life”.  Adam and Alessandro have been nominated for the 2017 Young Australian of the Year Awards as recognition for their efforts in this cause thus far.

The purpose of the fundraising night will be to help construct a pre-school in Railaco Motahare, an area in Timor-Leste identified as highly disadvantaged. The night will consist of a three course dinner, fully catered and created by the Dinner Ladies (https://www.dinnerladies.com.au/), a proud sponsor of ETF. On the night guest speaker Deng Adut (nominated for Australian of the Year 2017) will share his story on the power of education.
