Junior School meet our new College Captains and Prefects

From the Director of Wellbeing, Matthew Porter

On Monday 21 November, our Junior School students, still at the beginning of their Waverley journey, were introduced to the 2017 Senior College Captains and House Prefects. This provided an opportunity for the Year 6 students transitioning to the Senior School next year to find a familiar face in the crowd and a friend who has been through it all before.

The new Wellbeing model to be implemented for 2017 means that students within a House group will forge much stronger and long-standing bonds as they share experiences and interactions such as those depicted here. Our Junior School students and new year 7 students will no doubt take comfort from the positive example, friendly words of advice or answers to seemingly simple questions. The Senior Prefects and Captains may also benefit from the energy and youthful enthusiasm of their younger counterparts and hopefully reflect on what it felt like when they themselves were at the beginning.

We wish all of the students the very best as they prepare to write their own chapter in to the long and proud traditions of Waverley College.
