The conclusion of the semester is fast approaching, and in order to prepare for 2022, it would be appreciated if parents could advise, before the end of Term 4, if your son will be discontinuing his private music tuition at Waverley College at the end of this year.
For cancellation of tuition, please email: kkossenberg@waverley.nsw.edu.
The remaining students will automatically rollover into Semester 1 2022, and the billing will appear on your Term 1, 2022 school fees account.
Your son may wish to take up another instrument or join one of the many Ensembles. If so, the Music Department uses an electronic form. Parents need to complete the following form for students wishing to commence private instrumental/vocal lessons. Full details of the terms and conditions are set out and must be accepted prior to completing the form.
Instruments that require repairs, or any student discontinuing or leaving Waverley College, should return their instrument to the Music Department before the conclusion of Term 4, 2022 by Friday, 26 November.
Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me on 02 9369 0623.

The Drama Department is pleased to announce that next year we will be mounting Louis Nowra’s iconic Australian play Cosi in the Performing Arts Centre Theatre from June 7-9, 2022. Mr Peter Lamb will be directing the show.
As we have not been able to mount a theatrical production for the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to give students who are currently in Years 8-11 an opportunity to tread the boards.
We will be running auditions at lunchtimes during Week 7 this term. Due to COVID-safe protocols, students will have to register their interest to audition by booking their audition.
Students will be sent an audition pack from Mrs Kossenberg once they have registered for the audition.
We will audition students in their current year groups on the following days at lunchtime. Students will need to arrive at the PAC Foyer at the beginning of lunch on the day their year group is invited to audition.
Rehearsals will commence at the beginning of Term 1, 2022 and continue until showtime in June! Rehearsal days/dates will be announced to the successful cast in due course.

We are excited to announce that College Choir rehearsals resume in Week 5 on Friday, 5 November. Rehearsals are every Friday morning at 7.30am in the Performing Arts Centre Recital Room (room P17A). No audition or previous singing experience is required — all students from Years 7-12 are welcome and encouraged to join.
The Waverley College Choir rehearse and perform a variety of repertoire under the direction of Ms Jaz Dolso and Mrs Anne Fahy. The Choir is engaged throughout the year to sing at many College events, College liturgies, masses and concerts. Over the last 10 years the Choir has participated in several overseas tours performing in Germany and Italy.
Students also have the opportunity to attend a Music Camp and to participate in performances across the wider community.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Places are now available in Term 4 for students looking to commence instrumental lessons. Lessons are available on a range of instruments. Learning a musical instrument has so many benefits. Did you know that it engages practically every area of the brain at once? It can help grow discipline, language and maths skills, memory, concentration and coordination. It’s also fun!
Parents who would like their sons to commence instrumental lessons must complete a private music lesson registration form. Any questions regarding lessons please contact Ms Kossenberg. Instruments are available for hire. Term 4 lessons commenced in Week 1 online.

All concert band rehearsals resumed this week! New band members are always welcome. If you are a student who learns an instrument outside of school, or if you are new to the College, joining an ensemble will enhance your performance experience.
Would you like to join one of these bands? If so, please contact Mr Dan Williams.
