Please find below the schedule for the Year 12 (2025) Tutorials in Term 4, Week 6.

Topics covered during the tutorials include content revision, study skills, exam preparation and practice papers. These tutorials have proven extremely valuable and, while not compulsory, are strongly encouraged.

It is important that we know attendance numbers so teachers can prepare accordingly. To that end, the expectation is that students who register for the tutorial, attend. Rolls will be taken to assist us to manage the program. The cut-off time to register for morning tutorials is 3:00pm the day prior.

Hello Year 12s of 2025!

Wow, you are all now officially year 12s! Gosh, how time flies

As the heading implies, it is time to part yourselves from your year 11 textbooks, with the aim of them returned  by next Friday, 1st November 2024 .

You should all already have access to your year 12 digital textbooks on Box of Books, with the hardcopies trickling in as well.

Ideally, you are required to drop off your textbooks to Book Hire where they will be checked and returned / removed from their loan record, with the opening hours noted below:

Monday- Friday 8am- 4pm

Worth mentioning is that there will also be crates marked ”Textbook Returns”, with one in reception and one in the senior library from next Monday, where you are welcome to drop off your textbooks for return as well.

To help both students and parents navigate the upcoming HSC journey, we invite Year 10 & 11 (new Year 12) students and their parents to our free November kickstart seminars, with our partners Macquarie University, UTS and the University of Newcastle.

For nearly twenty years, these seminars have provided valuable insights and practical tips for students entering their HSC years, as well as guidance for parents on how to best support their children during this critical time.

The sessions will be delivered by qualified counsellors and experienced HSC markers, covering the following topics:

English tips and tricks for Advanced & Standard students

Internationally Educated in partnership with Revolution Prep will be offering a practice digital SAT. Taking full-length practice tests under timed conditions is essential preparation for the official test. A proctored practice exam will help you build testing endurance, provide insight into the types of questions asked, and give you a real-time snapshot of your testing performance.

When: Saturday 12 October 9:00am – midday AEDT
Where: Online
Who: The digital SAT practice test may be taken by students in Years 10, 11 or 12.
Why: Sitting the digital SAT practice test under timed conditions provides more exposure and familiarity to the test which can be used for admission purposes to many US universities. Even in a test-optional environment, a strong test score may support your application well.
Cost: US$20. Your registration includes a personalised score report available directly after the test and a 30-minute scheduled one-on-one score review session with a Revolution Prep Adviser who can assess specific strengths and identify areas to focus on for improvement.
