My goodness, I cannot believe that we have already reached Term 4 and the HSC exams are already well underway!
As such, all outstanding textbooks will need to be returned by Friday, 8 November 2024, especially since we start issuing those books to the 2025 cohort right upon return.
Ideally, students are required to drop off their textbooks to Book Hire where textbooks will be checked and returned/removed from their loan record, with the opening hours noted below:
Monday- Friday 8am- 4pm
Worth noting is that there will also be marked crates with signage Textbook Returns with one sitting in reception and one in the senior library from next week, where boys are welcome to drop off their textbooks for return as well.
Any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me via email bookhire@waverley.nsw.edu.au
Thank you in advance for all your help!
We will be holding our Year 12 2025 Parent and Student Information Evening on Tuesday, 29 October. Please note that this has been rescheduled from Wednesday 23 October.
The evening’s presentation will provide you with an overview of what to expect during your son’s HSC year, including important course information, expectations, policies and procedures.
The presentation will be held in the Lacey Gymnasium between 6pm – 7:30pm.
Student attendance is compulsory and we ask that full school uniform be worn on the night.
The HSC Assessment Information Booklet that we will go through in the session is also emailed to all students, parents and carers. It is also available on the College Website in the Curriculum Section.
Please be assured that we are here to support your son on his HSC journey so contact the Curriculum or Wellbeing Teams, Heads of Department or Heads of House if you have any questions or concerns.
It is important that we know attendance numbers so teachers can prepare accordingly. To that end, the expectation is that students who register for the tutorial, attend. Rolls will be taken to assist us to manage the program. The cut-off time to register for morning tutorials is 3:00pm the day prior.
Mrs Brooke Pannia has emailed the registration sheets to students to register their attendance at the tutorials. Please bring any equipment you may need for the tutorial (e.g. textbooks, notepads, pens etc.).
Students may wear casual attire, and are to enter through the main reception.
Martina Cooper – Director of Curriculum
Internationally Educated in partnership with Revolution Prep will be offering a practice digital SAT. Taking full-length practice tests under timed conditions is essential preparation for the official test. A proctored practice exam will help you build testing endurance, provide insight into the types of questions asked, and give you a real-time snapshot of your testing performance.
When: Saturday 12 October 9:00am – midday AEDT
Where: Online
Who: The digital SAT practice test may be taken by students in Years 10, 11 or 12.
Why: Sitting the digital SAT practice test under timed conditions provides more exposure and familiarity to the test which can be used for admission purposes to many US universities. Even in a test-optional environment, a strong test score may support your application well.
Cost: US$20. Your registration includes a personalised score report available directly after the test and a 30-minute scheduled one-on-one score review session with a Revolution Prep Adviser who can assess specific strengths and identify areas to focus on for improvement.
Registration and additional information can be found here.
We look forward to farewelling our Year 12s during their final week at the College. As we celebrate this important time, please remember that all College rules remain in place. Attendance is expected at all events, and we kindly ask students to arrive on time, show respect, and wear the appropriate attire for each occasion.

Macbook Air laptops currently with students in Year 12 will be at the end of the lease in 2024. As per the iLearn agreement, families now have two options:
Option 1 – RETURN the unit. No payment will be required. Devices should be returned damage-free with no graffiti or stickers. Insurance forms will be issued for damaged units, and students will be asked to clean units if they have graffiti or stickers. The Charger and cable must also be returned with the unit.
Devices MUST be returned to the iAssist office adjacent to room E15 after the student’s final exam. Failure to do so will result in the unit being locked and potentially a charge being made to your account.
Option 2 – Nominate and Pay the residual amount on the unit and take ownership of the device. The agreed residual amount is $535. Payment and nomination must be made by 3pm Thursday, 26 September (This option can only be selected if all school fees are up to date).
At the conclusion of the student’s final exam or on the student’s last day, the student MUST bring the unit to the iAssist office, where iAssist will remove any school-licensed and management software. Once completed, the device will be returned to the student along with the appropriate administrator credentials. Failure to do this will result in the user not having administrative access to the laptop.
