From Friday 25 June at 12pm you will be able to make bookings for the Year 7-10 Parent / Teacher /  Student Interviews to be held on Monday 19 July from 8:30am – 6.30pm. This will occur through the TASS Parent Lounge.

The interviews will run in two sessions:

Zoom codes will be sent out prior to the session.

In order to have staff available to as many families as possible, interviews will be of five minutes’ duration. To make the process as efficient as possible and to minimise lost time, we are requesting that you don’t make consecutive bookings, and leave at least a five minute gap between your bookings to allow time to move between meetings with the teachers.

Please ensure that you make bookings with your son’s main teacher in instances where one period is taken by another teacher.

Details on how to login to the Parent Lounge were sent to all parents in Term 1.

Dear Parents and Carers,

A Year 7 field trip activity has been organised for your son for Friday 30th April.

This activity is a response to the compulsory fieldwork component within the Stage 4 Geography unit ‘Water in the World’ and Religion topic ‘Stewards of Creation’. A formal Geography assessment task has been constructed around the field trip. Also, the cost of the excursion has been calculated with the expectation that all students attend.

What you need to do:

Your son was given a field trip overview and permission slip in class today. Please fill in the slip and return it to his Geography teacher by Tuesday 27 April. If he has misplaced the form you can download it by clicking here.

Subject: Year 7 Geography & Religion.

Date and time of the excursion: Friday 30th April 2021. Term 2 Week 2B. Periods 1-6.

Travel Arrangements: Meet 8:45am in the Centenary Quad. Students will take a bus to Centennial Park Wetlands Environmental Education Centre. Return to the College at 3.15pm.

Dress: Sports uniform, including College cap/hat or similar.

Food & Drink: B.Y.O water and food. There will NOT be an opportunity to purchase food or drinks on the field trip

Other Requirements: Clipboard, pencils, pens, camera, calculator, raincoat and sunscreen

Cost: The cost will be added to your son’s Term 2 school fees.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at rsutcliffe@waverley.nsw.edu.au

From Ms Rebecca Sutcliff, Geography Teacher and Ms Catherine Stewart, Assistant Head of Religion.

Year 7 students were vaccinated against Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) at the end of Term 1, 2021. We had a fantastic uptake of students who were vaccinated this year, which contributes towards good health, wellbeing and herd immunity.

If any Year 7 students missed out on their vaccinations, please contact the Registered Nurse in the Health Centre so we can arrange a catch up dose at the next visit. This next visit from Public Health is scheduled for 4 May 2021 when the Year 10 students are vaccinated against Meningococcal ACWY.

Should parents or guardians have any further questions about the vaccination program please do not hesitate to contact the College nurse on 9369 0644 or email: healthcentre@waverley.nsw.edu.au
