Internationally Educated assists students and their families through the selection and application process for United States universities. They offer a SAT Practice Exam in partnership with test prep provider, Revolution Prep.
Taking full-length practice tests under timed conditions is essential to being ready for the official test. A proctored practice exam will help students build testing endurance and give them a real-time snapshot of their testing performance.
Additional information and registration can be found HERE.
Register by 1 May 2024.
Interviews on both of these days will take place between 8:30am and 6:30pm.
All interviews will be held via Zoom.
IT have provided a video on how to set up a Zoom Meeting. You can view this video HERE.

Bookings opened on Tuesday, 2 April at 9am and will close on Friday, 26 April at 3:30pm.

A list of Zoom account numbers will be sent by IT to all parents/carers prior to the interview dates. This will usually be a day or two before the interviews. You do not need the Zoom code to make your bookings.
In order to have staff available to as many families as possible, interviews will be of five minutes’ duration.

A reminder to all Year 9 parents/carers that AFX doubles as the Year 9 Camp which is a compulsory week of school. Any applications for leave require school approval.
With only three weeks to go until we leave for camp at Holsworthy Army Barracks, I would advise everyone in the Unit to go through the Equipment List this weekend and make sure you have everything you need.
Q Store will be open Wednesday, 20 March and Wednesday, 27 March at recess and lunch for those last-minute provisions.
*Please note – there will be no provision to issue any gear or equipment after Wednesday, 27 March as Q store will be closed.
Dear Parents and Carers,
The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is a point in time assessment of literacy and numeracy skills that are essential for every child to progress through school and life. Students in Years 5, 7 and 9 participate in the annual NAPLAN tests in writing, reading, conventions of language (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and numeracy.
Our school will be participating in NAPLAN Online between 13 – 22 March 2024.
Years 5 and 7 students will sit their test in Periods 1-2 and Year 9 students will sit their test in Periods 3-4.
Students must bring their fully charged laptops and headphones to this session.
Excessive preparation for NAPLAN Online is not recommended. Students do not need to be able to touch type to complete NAPLAN Online as the tests are not about keyboard skills (just as the paper test is not about handwriting skills).
Students can use the Public Demonstration Site to familiarise themselves with the types of questions and tools available in the NAPLAN Online tests.
Please click on this link 2024 NAPLAN Online – Information for parents and carers sheet for further information.
If you have any questions regarding this practice test please contact either Ms Martina Cooper (Director of Curriculum), Mr David Parnell (Head of Learning Support) or Mr Elliott McKimm (Acting Assistant Director of Curriculum – Year 5 students).

Furthermore, if parents or carers are interested in learning about strategies to support their son through NAPLAN our Head of Academic Enrichment, Ms Helen Barrie has prepared this informative video:

In line with the PDHPE curriculum, all students in Year 9 will be participating in ballroom dancing lessons and an evening of dance during Week 6 of Term 1. The dance will be conducted in association with St Clare’s College and will be led by the Joan Carmody School of Dance. The details for each event are as follows.
Ballroom dancing lessons will be conducted in the Lacey Gymnasium at Waverley College during Periods 1 and 2. All students are required to bring their PE shoes to change into (normal school uniform to be worn to school).
Students will participate in an organised dance with St Clare’s College. The dance will begin promptly in the Lacey Gymnasium at Waverley College at 6:30pm and will conclude at 8:30pm. Students are requested to wear collared shirts, long pants and trainers.
The dance will be supervised by both Waverley and St Clare’s staff members. Students are required to get their name marked off as they enter the dance.
This is a fantastic opportunity for students to learn the skills of ballroom dancing and to enjoy a social evening with their peers. Boys are reminded that they will be representing the College and therefore normal school expectations for behaviour and cooperation will apply.
The Cadet Annual Field Exercise (AFX) doubles as the Year 9 camp and is an exciting and challenging way to extend our cadets and test the skills they have learnt over the past year. For some, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the machinations of a working military base, Holsworthy Barracks, which provides the context for our camp.
Details about AFX have been emailed to all families via the Joining Instruction (JI). Please carefully read through the information and equipment list and complete all necessary administration by 1 March 2024.

At times, all students benefit from additional teacher support to consolidate classroom content and skills, particularly in the lead up to assessments. During Term time, we have the following supports available via our co-curricular program, run by expert teachers.
