OBU President, Salvatore Riolo, presenting Ned Wieland with plaque.

At the October OBU Council Meeting, English Channel swimmer Ned Wieland (from Year 10) and his father Mark, both addressed the meeting.

Ned described the interest and build up over many years, that led to his English Channel swim. He outlined future possible swimming opportunities and his continued support for RUOK, for which he raised some $40,000.

Ned’s talk was greatly appreciated by all council members.

To mark this event President Salvatore Riolo, presented Ned with an OBU Appreciation Plaque, the inscription reading;
