On Thursday 3 March, 33 Construction, Entertainment and Work Education students completed their WHS Construction Induction White Card.
The course is a requirement for entry to a construction site.
Students learnt how to identify legislative requirements of construction work, construction hazards and risk control measures, health and safety communication and reporting processes and incident and emergency response procedures. All participants were engaged in the discussions about safety and received their White Card at the end of the course.
Now that students have completed the course they will be able to easily find work placements and work experiences to trial different construction industries
