Academic Curriculum

Right Way to Write – Year 12 Literacy Program

Head of Learning Support, David Parnell, with students Joshua Bale, left, and Joel Ellis, right

From Cassandra Foster, Literacy Coordinator

Right Way to Write is a Year 12 Literacy mentoring session that takes place in the library during study periods.

Students who need assistance in improving their written expression and overall literacy skills are encouraged to book in an appointment with Mrs Foster for Week A Thursdays and/or Week B Tuesdays and Thursdays next term, after examinations.

This service would benefit the following:

  • Students undertaking the written components of major works who need assistance with proof reading their grammar, spelling and punctuation.
  • Students who are confident with the content of their subjects but need assistance in communicating ideas through writing.
  • Students who are disappointed with their examination results and believe assistance in writing would improve their results.

If any of the above applies to you, please send an email to cfoster@waverley.nsw.edu.au with a request for a certain time. A time will be negotiated with you personally. Some students may receive requests from their teachers to attend a session or sessions.
