From the Captain of Tennis, Matija Hripac
Sadly, many of the games were washed out due to Saturday’s rain. Even more so, it was a disappointing weekend for the Waverley scoreboards. However, every Waverley student who took part in Saturday’s matches played their very best and served as wonderful ambassadors for the school. We had some amazing results from the year 10 A1, Harry Karakatsanis and A3, William Durken who both had marvellous victories, wining 6-4 in both sets. There were also spectacular performances from boys in the younger years, namely the Year 8 A1, Oscar Madden and A2, Nikita Nikitenko, who both came out victorious with their 7-5 and 6-3 wins.
If all goes well the weather will hold up and we will be able to have some wonderful matches against our next opponent Barker.
