Waverley’s school production of Tartuffe is getting very close and the cast are gearing up for the show.
Tartuffe is a comedy that tells the story of Orgon, a man who has everything: money, power and a beautiful family. But lately he’s been questioning the point of it all and invites the ‘virtuous’ Tartuffe into his perfect household. A whirlwind of deception and seduction is unleashed that will threaten everything!
Updated from the original classical French play, this version is set against the conspicuous consumption of 1980s Sydney: big cars, big shoulders and big hair. Then there’s the music!
Starring students from Waverley, Ascham and St Clare’s, this production promises to be a comic rollercoaster!
Tickets for Tuesday 18, Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 June are on sale now through the school events page HERE.
