Appreciation
A huge thank you to all of our staff, coaches, parents and students for their efforts over a disrupted summer season. There were tremendous efforts from our students across all activities and many impressive team and individual performances.
One of the highlights was the 1sts Water Polo securing the CAS premiership. They lost to a powerful Newington last Saturday but gave a strong performance and are worthy CAS Premiers.
I was humbled by the attendance of so many parents and students at the Basketball and Cricket presentation evenings last Friday. The sense of community and camaraderie is a very important part of the co-curricular program and is also what helps make our students feel a part of something special. A huge thank you to these Supporter Groups for their tremendous effort organising these evenings, as well as the Water Polo Supporter Group for their great presentation event on Saturday afternoon.
Winter Season
We commenced our winter season trials this week and most teams have trials this Saturday. Please note that no selections are final and convenors and coaches will do the best that they can. We don’t always get it right first time and there are opportunities during the season for promotion based on performance.
Parents are requested not to approach coaches directly, particularly during a match or at training; if there are concerns, please address these to the convenor of the activity to discuss any problems. The winter convenors are as follows:

Any leave requests require two weeks written notice where possible and must be directed either to the Head of College or myself. If a student is absent from sport on a Saturday due to illness or injury then a medical certificate is required and should be sent to our Acting Head of Sport Mr Greg Elliott at gelliott@waverley.nsw.edu.au.
Good luck to our Swimmers and Divers for the CAS Championships held today as well as all boys in their sports trials this Saturday.
