Waverley College has access to a free trial of SchoolTV, an online Wellbeing Portal aimed at parents.

SchoolTV is a world first, wellbeing platform featuring Dr Michael Carr-Gregg. It addresses the modern day realities faced by schools and parents who increasingly need clear, relevant and fact-based information around raising safe, happy and resilient young people.

Whilst there is a great deal of information available, this can often be confusing and overwhelming for parents looking for guidance. SchoolTV addresses this issue. It is online resource designed to empower parents with credible, sound information with realistic and practical strategies.

This website brings together short (2 to 3 minutes) videos on a range of topics, including mental health, body image, cyber safety, drug and alcohol awareness,  together with fact sheets and links to other relevant websites including Beyond Blue, Black Dog, Head Space, Reach Out, Youtube clips, TED Talks, etc.

To visit the Waverley College launch site, please click HERE.

Our trial period ends on 1 October 2017, when the college will determine whether to subscribe to the service as an ongoing resource for parents.

I encourage parents to take advantage of our free trial and access information from many of Australia’s leading experts, available in one simple resource on your smartphone, tablet or laptop, and to send me your feedback at mporter@waverley.nsw.edu.au
