The Annual Waverley Youth Art Prize is open for entry.
The purpose of the Waverley Youth Art Prize is to encourage creativity in young artists from Sydney’s Eastern Beaches. It is an open prize with all artwork entries hung to allow young people the experience of being an exhibiting artist, and seeing an audience appreciate their creation talents.
The theme for this year is ‘Climate Utopia’ – the theme which asks young artists of Sydney’s Eastern Beaches to create an artwork considering possible climate futures and solutions.
Broad artistic interpretation of this theme is encouraged. Entrants may utilise ideas relating to popular culture, science fiction or something else entirely. All mediums and interpretations are welcome.
The Prize is open to everyone aged between 9-18 living, studying and playing in Sydney’s East. Entries close 25 May. For further information about the prize, please click the button below.
