From Religious Education Teacher, Karen Jones
Year 7 Religious Education classes have been studying what it means to be Catholic.
This week the students were given a tour of the War Memorial Chapel by Mr Anthony Evans, Student Wellbeing Officer and an Old Boy of the College.
Mr Evans told the students some interesting facts about the Chapel, which was opened in October 1956, and gave them great insight into the meanings of the many icons and inscriptions to be found on the walls, windows and furnishings.
He also helped the boys to have a deeper understanding of their faith and the connections to Mary, rituals and symbols in the Chapel. The talk greatly helped them with their latest assignment.
