Final Week of Term 2 Activities

Thank you and well done to all students, staff and coaches for your efforts at Term 2 co-curricular activities. Waverley students continue to perform well in a number of areas, with many also representing Waverley and CAS teams this week and into the holidays.

I want to make special mention of our Year 10 Debating team who are now through to the finals of the CSDA debating season, and we wish them and their coaches all the best.

Unfortunately, we have had to postpone our House Track & Field Carnival to Monday, 29 August due to the ongoing capital works at ES Marks Athletics Field. More information about this event will be published early in Term 3.

1sts Teams Learn From Mr Kevin Heath (Waverley College Indigenous Liaison Officer) and Uncle Dean Kelly (Bidgigal Elder)

This week, we also had all of our 1sts teams spend some time with Mr Kevin Heath and Uncle Dean Kelly. The boys worked on the importance of identity, and improving cultural awareness and understanding before our Indigenous Round on Saturday, 30 July. This ensures that all 1sts teams have a better appreciation of what the round means, its relevance, and why they are wearing the ‘specially designed’ 1sts attire.
