Update on Duke of Edinburgh program

From Award Leaders, Mr Nick Brophy and Ms Gemma Brown

The Duke of Edinburgh program is well underway at Waverley College, with a group of Year 10 boys undertaking community service, regular physical recreation and learning new skills.

Some of the activities the students have been participating in include; cooking, photography, computing, refereeing, driving, assisting in a local nursing home, helping clean up our beaches and volunteering in their local charity store.

This award requires consistency, initiative and enthusiasm and we are proud of the way the participating students have taken on this challenge.

We will be holding an information evening for any Year 9 student and their parents who are interested in the award. The details are below:

Date: Wednesday 3rd May, 2017

Time: 5.30pm

Location: PAC

Please do not hesitate to contact the Waverley College Duke of Edinburgh Award Leaders Mr Nick Brophy and Ms Gemma Brown for more information.  They can be contacted at dukeofedinburgh@waverley.nsw.edu.au
