On Saturday, 30 July, before the 1st XV game, the community gathered to recognise that the greater understanding of Indigenous history and culture is essential in creating a more united future for all. Uncle Dean Kelly, Jeff Hardy and Richie Chan-Hampton led our opening ceremony, as well as a great half-time performance of ‘We Are Australian’ from respected Aboriginal singer and pioneer of the Indigenous Music Industry, Uncle Col Hardy. We thank Barker College for being a part of this important annual event.
